I have an interesting story that lead me to the world of UI/UX. With a background as a Customer Success Manager at a SaaS company and working on my own business in my spare time, it was almost… destiny??
As a Customer Success Manager, my main responsibility was to communicate with customers, gain a deep understanding of their needs, and partner with them strategically to solve their problems. Empathy was the name of the game and this channeled perfectly into my process as a designer during UX research and ideation.
At the same time, I was also passionately building a fintech business. The only problem was that after all the research I had done to validate the idea, I didn’t have anyone at the time to help build the product. So what does one do when that happens? Well, I spent countless hours learning Figma via YouTube tutorials. The result? I was hooked. I ended up falling in love with design.
